Remote working hub experiment, Micropolis
Approximately 60% of the Ii working residents work outside Ii, especially in the neighboring municipality of Oulu. The remote work hub was a free trial offered by Iilaakso Oy and Micropolis Oy to support the municipality of Ii’s goal of reducing emissions from private cars. Remote workstations were offered to companies, freelancers and self-employed during 2016.
The end result: gas is saved (estimated at 5.6Mwh / a), and time is saved.
